Visit to the ZON All Suites Residences on the park

A visit to a hotel is a rare experience and it was made possible with the General Manager of the ZON All Suites Residences on the park, Mr Edwin Low agreeing to host the visit of the lads on 2.6.09. Located along Jalan Ampang in the midst of high rise office buildings, the ZON hotel represents a new concept of hotelling where it incorporates apartment of single room to three bedrooms inclusive of living areas and the kitchen as self cooking is allowed.

The visit has raised the lads awareness of a future career as a hotelier not only from the hotel profession per se but also an area of business which can and do accommodate others with other professional qualifications such as IT, Accountancy, HR and Engineering.

The lads also heard for themselves that while work as a hotelier is glamorous, always well dressed and primped, long hours of work is the expected norm of the business.

The subsequent tour of the hotel rooms exposed the lads to the aesthetic charm, comfort and the quality of personalised service that makes a visiting client to return again and again and be prepared to pay for the comfort he or she is looking for.

The lunch hosted by Mr Edwin Low and his family provided the opportunity for the lads to eat hotel food prepared to vet one's appetite. It also exposed the lads to the need to learn about fine dining and correct usage of the cutlery provided.
